Our emphasis over the past three years has been research, development and construction of unique hatchery facilities to produce high quality fingerlings of various species for the fish farming industry for their final growth and sale to the food fish market
Our mission is to become the leader in the aquaculture industry in Guyana by providing high quality products through a highly skilled workforce, practical education and training, that will support competitiveness and sustainability.
Now that success has been achieved at a medium-scale farming operation, it is necessary to expand production and introduce mechanized processing to effect economies of scale. With this comes the need to enlarge production capacity and upgrade the existing site infrastructure.
Aqua Farm is an old farming plantation that once was one of the largest production centers in Guyana . It was originally established in 1960 by Boeraririe Pioneers and with the help of more than 100 familes produced tons of fresh fruits, vegetables and provisions per month.
As times passed and as a result of the outflow in migration and change in the local economy, the estate was eventually transferred to new Line Aqua Farm Inc.
Aqua Farm began construction of its present site in 2001 and with the introduction of Talapia Fish fry into the system by 2002 began small scale harvesting approximately eight months late. Since that time New Line has continued to successfully expand operations and modify their rearing techniques to maximize production of a high quality yeild.
